The Vintage 73 EP (For Legacy MPCs)

An incredibly faithful multisampled reproduction of the classic early 70s Fender Rhodes Mk 1, optimised for legacy MPCs.
$29.99 USD

Description

The Vintage 73 EP from MPC-Samples and BBoyTech is our incredibly faithful multisampled reproduction of the iconic and much sought-after Fender Rhodes electric piano, optimized entirely for legacy MPCs.

Recorded using Corry’s own beautifully restored 1972 Fender Rhodes Mk1 (73 key suitcase model), we’ve perfectly captured the broad range of velocity-sensitive timbres and tones of this vintage classic

From the distinctively rich and soulful bell like tones heard when playing softly, all the way up to the more aggressive raw tones at higher velocities, this unique MPC instrument perfectly translates the true sound of a real Rhodes to your pads:

We've recorded a total of 292 samples along with a number of different programs precisely tailored for various MPC models, with a fully chromatic 4-zone velocity switching instrument for the MPC Software MPC4000 (.akp) and MPC5000 (.50k), and lower memory footprint versions for the MPC2500, MPC1000, MPC500 and all versions of JJOS (featuring reduced keygroups and/or less velocity zones)

We’ve even created a single velocity layer version for the MPC2000/XL which is still chromatically sampled ensuring each of the 64 notes has it’s own unique timbre while keeping memory usage under 23MB.

The Vintage 73 EP - without doubt the most authentic Fender Rhodes recreation ever made for legacy MPCs.

If you have a new generation MPC (MPC X, MPC Live, MPC One etc), our recommended Rhodes expansion is Electric Keys.

Product FAQs

What are multisamples and what can I do with them?

Multisamples involve sampling many notes from an instrument and mapping out these notes into MPC programs - the result is a very realistic recreation of the original instrument mapped out across the pads in your MPC. You can then create your own realistic loops, riffs and solos using only your MPC.

How easy is it to use multisamples in my MPC?

Very easy. Just load up a mulisample program just like you would any other program. Now just bash the pads and create your own unique loops and solos! And if you prefer playing with a MIDI keyboard, no problem - just connect the keyboard MIDI out to the MPC MIDI in and play the keyboard keys - your realistic multisample sounds will be output from your MPC (we've even re-ordered all pads so they match standard chromatic order on keyboards).

Do you add effects to your multisamples?

Definitely not. It is important that professional multisamples are presented 'dry', with no delay effects (e.g. reverb, chorus, delay etc). This ensures you have maximum control over the multsamples, leaving you to add whatever effects you wish to your multisample performances.
