The 'MPC Renaissance & MPC Studio Bible' is MPC-Tutor’s complete, hands-on guide to using the Akai MPC Renaissance, MPC Studio Black & the original MPC Studio (silver), written specifically for controlling MPC Software 2.1.

Topics covered include:

  • Build your own multitrack sequences using classic MPC swing, note repeat, 16 levels and audio tracks
  • Learn how to layer drums and create your own unique sounds with the built in effects, filters and LFOs
  • Create melodic leads and rhythms from your own multisampled 'keygroup' instruments
  • Construct your own dynamic drum kits using velocity switching and round robins ('cycle kits')
  • Create unique beats with the MPC's classic chopping functions
  • Mix down entire songs with vocals, scratching and effects automation
  • Utilise warping, sequenced chops and patched phrase loops
  • Make your own MPC 'synth'
  • Create your own MPC Expansion packs

Plus many, many more pro tips, tricks, shortcuts - check out the full list of tutorials here.

All tutorials teach practical beat making skills presented in a jargon-free, step-by-step style with hundreds of clear screenshots showing all required settings for every stage of each project and all the files and samples you need to recreate each project in your MPC.

The focus is on developing a highly efficient 'hybrid' workflow that combines the use of the MPC’s intuitive hardware controls and the computer-based MPC Software, for a more modern take on the classic ‘MPC workflow’.

Please Note: This course is only suitable for the MPC Renaissance and MPC Studio Mk 1, it is NOT compatible with the 'MPC Studio 2' controller. It is no longer updated and does not cover any features introduced after MPC Software 2.1. Additionally, some tutorials may need to be adapted to account for some of the core changes in recent MPC Software versions.

Reviews

"Im very pleased with the MPC Bible! Easy to read and understand. I read the manual that came with my MPC but it seemed geared toward more experienced users which I am not. You walked through it step by step and provided the files needed to accomplish the tutorials. You didn't take anything for granted. Now I can really enjoy my new MPC Studio thanks to you!"
Gary Caroots, Goodrich, United States

"After struggling with video tutorials from other sites, I just decided to have a look at your book. I found an honest and genuine learning approach and would recommend it to anyone in the game. No other MPC tutorials come near what you teach. I find that in the past month I’ve been reading for 30 minutes a day (during my lunch break) I can’t wait to open the tutorial. I’m over the Moon nearing Mars faster than Elon Musk. Thanks a million Andy!"
Norman Evans, Northampton, United Kingdom
