Hi all, new to the forum.
So i have an MPC 2000xl. I believe my son accidently wiped the os/flash. When i got it worked fine (only have had it for 2 weeks). Then i would have to use disk for with OS on it to boot.
Switched drives, from floppy to compact flash. All i could get after was "insert mpc 200xl disk".
So i did some digging around on the forum & found this thread:

tried every trick listed. i even switched drive back to floppy hoping to restore flash, no such luck. All i get now is "insert...disk"
will the VST chip work or is there another trick?? i cant get it to boot with 1.14 or 1.2 disk. frankly I am over the whole thing but would like to give it one more shot before i chunk it out the window
