Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By brianlincs93 Fri Dec 02, 2016 3:21 pm
Hey does anybody know how to secure the 8 outs into the mpc? My 8 outs arrived in the post off my mpc dealer without screws or a manual. I installed them into the back however there's no screws to secure the instalment. Because of this every time I try to plug a lead in to the 8 outs it pushes the 8 outs back into the mpc making it almost impossible to use. I've tried asking my dealer but he's quite difficult to interpret as you can see in the screenshot links that I've accompanied with this post.
Feedback and help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Or someone here can show you the inside of their 2kxl with 8out board and how it's fastened.

I think there are pictures around in several places here on the forum.

I don't have my 2kXL with me at the minute because its off getting a bit of a servicing and mod....

but I installed my 8 outs like a piece of pizz......and I'm rubbish at zhit like that....

I didn't have to drill any holes or buy any metal plates......he's sold you half the goods by the sound of it.....

Thanks guys. It's actually becoming a little bit clearer to me now. Apologies if it seemed like a stupid question. I'm still a noob and don't wanna **** up my gear haha. Reckon securing the 8 outs on the outside with ring washer screws would be suitable.? Like the ones in this link.?

Ye man. Installing it wasn't too much of a prob for me. It's just securing it. Very much appears that I did get f***ed over with the goods ye. Hopefully the ring washers do the trick though. Will report back if the zhit hits the fan.

washers aren't going to secure shit. you need a nut for a 1/4" jack size. they should be easy enough to find.

Yep, get those nuts.

Find em, secure those nuts in there and bang till your hearts content.

If possible, take your open MPC to your local hardware shop with you. They can see right then and there what you will need.

just find the right-sized nuts. get off the internet - you'll do a lot better in a hardware store with the board in yer hand than you will asking around in here.

too bad the ones linked didnt fit - must be a slightly different jack.
