MPC2000 Recordings Are Corrupted

And yes the RAM is the problem lol.

Yeah I'm sure it might be as well. The user manual and the service manual recommend RAM with a speed of 70nS. Anything slower will probably fail the RAM test.

To enter TEST mode press the SHIFT button and the MIXER (7) button at the same time.
Then while in the MIXER mode, press the OPEN WINDOW button.
Press the "0" button while pressing the SHIFT button to enter the flash file memory test.
Press F1 to enter Memory Test.
Press F6 to start the test.
The test will take a few minutes. But you'll know whether the RAM passes or fails, so you can figure out what you need to do after that.
