Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

sup guys,

i got myself this turntable https://www.thomann.de/de/american_audio_ttd_2400.htm

and this preamp https://www.thomann.de/de/art_deejaypre ... e_180352_0

to record samples from the turntable into my MPC.

But theres the problem: I connected the turntable with the pre-amp with a cinch cable andt the pre-amp with the MPC 2000xl digital I/O, and I tried to record something but it seems like the MPC dont even recognize the music I am trying to record, I only hear cracking sounds...
Is there a problem with the digital I/O from the MPC (its a pretty new 8-out) or did I make a mistake with the cables?
Thanks

It will be more cost effective and useful to find a second and stereo amplifier with a phono in / line out then to buy this preamp in my opinion. Or even a second hand mixer.

why are you using the digital in on the mpc? do you see a digital out on the preamp?

juse use the record ins. you can only use the digital in with another spdif digital out.

when you use it right, that setup will work perfectly.

your welcome.

i would still keep my eyes open for a cheap and good dj mixer. it will serve the same purpose as the phono pre, but also have things like eq and faders and more inputs you can use.
