^^Internal readers have jumper settings as well. They're just not as complicated, having as many options as SCSI drives. It probably worked for him 'cause his drive was set to master straight out the box, aka dumb luck.

Nano, whats up mate? Is that your second drive... I thought you got one a while ago? Anyway...

Will these jumper settings still allow you to use external scsi drives?

hmm it still doesnt work, lights come on but it aint reading smart media or pc cards, plus i havent got CF to test that.. possible need the flash updates for the drives.

either that or i havent pressed it in firmly enough.

I tried these jumper settings and mine does not work either... It only sees 2 , 3 and 4 (where the CF is ) says no SCSI Device but I know they all work in a PC..

Thanks

Here is the manual for the card reader:

Microtech PCD47 manual

yeh ive read the manual to begin with.

Things i'll double check when i get home from work.

SCSi cable is firmly pressed into mainboard.

MPC OS, ( i think im still running 1.12 )

firmware version of microtech drive.

recheck all jumpers.

It is not working because you must have 1.20 OS installed in order for the MPC to recognize the card drive.

how stupid of me, i thought they continued to work even with the older OS, or is that only the IDE joints. my other mpc was already updated i dont even remember doing it. i gotta stop saving all my mod projects till im really stoned. cause the proceedures have escaped me.

hmm still no luv from the OS update though.....
