Is it possible that S/PDIF OUT is broken?

if 8 analog outs and S/PDIF in work fine?

I am not an experienced 2K XL user but yesterday, the day I got it everything worked fine. To the point - first I heard interferences like sync issues but everything was set as before, 44.1 in interface. Basically I couldn't even hear a metronome, set to stereo monitoring.

I suspect my interface...but it is strange.

Interface is set as a clock master, internal 44.1.

Hmm...yesterday I was tracking out via S/PDIF to Live. Live as a master. But today I switched off the sync in the MP. Shouldn't even matter I believe.

Today I switched up the MPC and interface and everything was working fine... When I went to Trim once again loud pops showed up. Now in Sample I get loud clicks all the time.

An hour or so later again suddenly spdif started to work... in the end it stopped I guess it is spdif out issue indeed. Or broken cable. Will switch to a different one and check again. Spdif in and 8 analog outs and main outs work fine.
