Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By JJG Mon Mar 20, 2017 1:04 am
I was playing a sample and it was sounding really good and when I saved it and loaded it when I came back it was really quite. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or why it happens?

Maybe you loaded it in/on a pad that has different settings/params
Make a blank PGM, set up all pads excatly how you like them to be by default. That blank PGM will be your default. Save it to the root of your media, Go into 2kxl settings and set startup.
It will load up when your power on your mpc if that media is already in there.

You can turn it up in trim mode.
Press Shift + Trim
Press Perams and use the jog wheel to increase level.

I think its always a bit louder in in trim mode than when you are in program mode.
So maybe if it is still too quite you could turn down the volume of other pads by pressing shift
+ mixer to compensate.

You can also turn up the master level of the mpc in the mixer window by pressing Setup.
Or just sample it again louder.
Even when the record level seems to be peaking you still get a good/sometimes better recording.
