Hi, I decided to change the cable of the 8 outs card of my MPC2000XL, everything was working fine before but the former cable was really long and I was always afraid (around 60cm). I did not checked before unplug the cable how it was plugged initially...
In fact, I forgot whether the red part of the P-ATA cable should be on the left or in the right side of the card connector.
Since I plugged the new cable without taking care about the right way to do it, my MPC is freezing a lots, especially when I sample. Also, the device is making a strange noise when she froze...
I opened the MPC one more time to take off the card / change the cable but I saw that two resistor (not sure if it's really a transistor) looks burnt... to your mind, does my outboard dead please ?
Thank you very much , and sorry for my english, here are some pictures
