Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I use my MPC 2000 classic for everything. And recently it's been acting up and producing this awful noise out of the outputs and I really don't know how to fix it. I don't want to replace it because I'm sure it's an easy fix. When I press a pad to cue a sample, it plays the sample just fine, but along with it comes this nasty high pitch electronic noise along with scratchy sounds as well. You would think its a matter of cleaning the outputs but it almost sounds like something else. Is there any advice on what could be causing this and how to stop it? It happens on not only the stereo outs but the 8 assignable outs as well. Thanks!

Open it, take out RAM, clean RAM contacts (pencil eraser or qtip with very little isopropyl alcohol), put RAM back in and try again. Come back and let us know what's up.
