How to trigger samples as loops and saving them

Hi all,

I haven't used my MPC2000xl in 10 years and I forgot how to do this. I did once before ages ago but haven't been able to find anything online or on youtube. Basically I'm going to play live with a drum machine and an mpc 2000xl synced. I want to be able to trigger loops (wave files) that I have transferred to my mpc2000xl from my computer. Please help!

To get sounds in the MPC you can sample them in to the stereo inputs or transfer them using storage media (floppy, zip, CF). Keep in mind the .wav files have to be 16 bit and 44.1kHz.

Place the loops on a pads.

Record them to a seq. Record them to many seqs, in diff arrangements.

Go to song mode and place the seqs in the desired order. Play along with the song live.

Or use the NEXT SEQUENCE if playing individual seqs, dial em up and they play one after the other.
