Mpc2000 Zip disk scsi read error

Mpc 2000 Zip disk giving me problems sometimes it loads sounds with no problem then I try to load sequences and it says error. The same happens vice versa any suggestions? Also what other options do I have going forward to update the way you can save on the mpc 2000 Thanks.

this is a coincidence another new member describing this same issue. It could be the SCSI fuse, so you can test it this way:

* Turn everything off
* disconnect the scsi cable
* boot the mpc from floppy
* go to DISK menus
* as you select SCSI storage options, if it freezes that means the fuse is blown

if the MPC does NOT freeze, it might be other issues like the disk itself.
