Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

How would one go about fixing and or replacing the scsi fuse I did the test to see if it was one of my 3 working drives , I was attempting to use my mint jaz drive when I realized after doing the scuzzy test it was my 2000 internally . Any insight would be most appreciated .

I'd first suggest you try google, I typed "MPC 2000 SCSI FUSE" and found the answer you were looking for.

The SCSI fuse for the MPC3000 is part #NTE15023E. You can try getting the same fuse for the MPC2000.

If you are still looking for MPC 2K classic fuse i bought some from an user here named @Harmoncj
he might still have some if you are interested. Not expensive at all.

Don't use that NTE one, that is a single blow fuse. Use a resettable fuse, that way if it ever gets tripped you just turn the MPC off and back on.

Go on eBay and type "Akai SCSI fuse" and see what I mean.

You're welcome. I use those same fuses with all of my Akai samplers.

Update fuse replaced and works great , had to wait for a power supply for my two 100 mb Zip drives because I was under the impression that my 1 Gb jaz didn’t work soon as I get the supply realized one drive has cod and the other I have to find another supply for . I did how ever tried disconnecting the jaz 50 pin adapter and plugged in cable that way set termination on and it worked.

I see you promoting it allot post up a link to the right mo drive for a classic and disks if you don’t mind definitely want to grab one and use my jaz as back up tried looking on my own but it was all over the place and out of control pricing on some.
