MPC 2000XL to MPC Beats Software

i have an MPC 2000 XL trying to connect to MPC Beats on my PC but i cannot trigger anything. I also connected an M-Audio keystation mk3 via USB and that works, for the Akai MPC i used a MIDI to USB Cable. the light on the cable for IN is active but the OUT isnt lit up.

Same here, Can't get my head around MIDI out for this 2KXL
