mpc plays triton sounds but notes on pads are random. help!

I figured out how to play keyboard sounds on my mpc pads. Only problem is the notes are random. How do I set up the mpc to play the notes in the correct order (the sounds coming from the triton)

the mpc pads are mapped kinda funny, there is a map in the manual that tells you what pads in what 4 banks (64 total "keys") correspond to what.

They are all over the place, (the mapping of midi notes across the mpc's pads) and gos knows why. (or maybe tutor or mpc 3000)

It is to layout midi drum mapping to the pads in a logical way. Midi note numbers are assigned to certain Standard midi sounds.
