Whats the story with MIDI and S/PDIF? I want to hook up my XL to my Delta 1010LT card, but Im not sure exactly what these do. I used to just use the stero out and convert it into a 1/8" plug for my PCs sound card. But now I guess I have the option of using a MIDI clock, 6 analogue outs, and/or S/PDIF...
Now I read somewhere that SPDIF is Sony/Philips Digital Format. How is that different from using the Digital out though? What process would require the MIDI? Does anybody care todrop some knowledge?
