loading and saving sounds..Future Music CD's??

I get the Future Music magazine Cd's..they contain samples et. al....but I can't get the MPC to work with them.

I just got a CD drive from a guy on E-bay who makes 'em for the MPC2000xl

Do you need to use Akai formated sample discs only??

Isn't the FM CD audio only?

The CD's say they include samples..and show the folders and beats, hits, sounds they're broken down into on the tray card. The CD says it also has reader demos and gear samples.

I thought you just played the reader demos on your home CD player...and that there was a sample "level" for sampling machines..
