What/how is tracking used in the MPC

Whatz the deal
Real quick question
What is the tracking used for, and how should i use it for producing songs on the MPC.Like should i give each sound(ie. samles, drums, etc...) it's own track. I haven't used it at all and was wondering if i should start. Please give examples.

yeah man..i do for every different sample a diff track!! that's the way it should be homes..

that way eddting is easy and in your song you can easy mute for example the kick!!

track1: Kick
track2: snare
track3: hi hat
track 5 bass
track 6: sample etc etc etc

Yeah thats the way i try to lay my stuff down, but it never works out that way when ur bashin' out bangas ....peace y'all
