I have to make a decision on which gear to keep and which to sell.
I'm moving soon and can't keep all my gear for certain $$$ issues so I need some advise.

The two options I've narrowed it down to are:

1. Sp1200
2. Mpc2000xl + s950

I mainly make 90s boom bap beats.
Where I live SP1200 are rare and it took me a long time to find one in really good condition. I know I'll have more flexibility with option 2 but I can't fathom selling the SP1200 as it took so long to find one. So I'm torn between the two options.
I use each machine as much as the other.

Can anyone chime in and offer some advice?

hmmm... geeze if you can swing it just get rid of the mpc2000 and keep the sp1200 and s950.

S950s are going for a pretty penny at the moment so if you ABSOLUTELY have to get rid of something. The MPC2000 and the S950. (although I never condone anyone selling their s950... unless I'm buying it :smoker: ).

Where abouts are you located anyways?

Edit: nvm australia

I agree with forknspoon here, keep the SP1200 and S950.

If you need to sell more, keep the SP1200 (if that machine is your thing). If i had to sell everything and could keep only one machine, it would be the SP.

U seem attached to the sp but the resell value on the sp far exceeds the other 2 plus if u just keep the sp its pretty limited just by itself.

definitely keep the sp1200 and the s950. you can always buy the 2000 again if you sell it.

Best answer is to sell all 3 and take care of your $$$ issues.
If you are asking others what to keep you probably don't really use any of them enough to miss them, so get the money to help your problems.

After you get back on your feet then you can deal with the question of what should I get.

sucks to be in this position, I've been there myself...but it was only mpc 4000 that I had to sacrifice

my advice would be get a 2nd job if possible or side hussle, sell something else.

bring something to a pawn shop and turn it in for a loan, they typically give you few months to pay back before they put it up for sale.

open up credit card with 0% apr if you have decent credit

^^^that's what I would do...I'd definitely hold on to the sp1200

good luck man

He said he had money issues and selling a 2kxl won't yield that much money so it probably won't help his issues.

We all know if he needs money the cash cow should go.
