Q-link slider generates random midi data - pcb problem?

hi dudes,

my 1k is messed up
q-link 2 generates midi data even when not moved, which is quite annoying. i desoldered it from the pcb, to check if the problem was the actual pot - the problem remained.

any ideas what may be the problem here and how to fix it? any help would be much appreciated.

...and you are sure the q-link movement isn't actually recorded in the sequence you're playing?

Yeah, I'm sure. It does it even when there's no sequence playing. For example I go to the mixer page and the volume of the selected pad starts flactuating as if I'm moving the slider.

craziness... i can only assume there must be a stripped wire or something is making contact inside. good luck with resolving that...
