Connecting large drum pads to MPC1000?

Hi guys

I've got a live show where the MPC handles the beat (Song Mode), but for some songs I'd like to play a snare sound live, not with the fingers but using sth like this:

with drum sticks.

Has anyone tried this? All these drum pads seem to have a jack output and not a midi one, so I don't know how to make it work with the MPC - if at all possible.

Those will work. Connect the pads to the foot switch input and assign the foot switch to a specific pad. I'm not sure if it's possible with the Akai OS. But it will definitely work with the JJ OS. However, I'm not sure if the foot switch inputs are able to sense velocity. That info may be available on JJ's online manual. So you may want to look into that before buying one of those pads.

What ur asking is very simple to do. Midi is a wonderful thing. I used it the old school way and not USB over midi.
