Sample vinyl

So i have phone preamp hooked up to my jvc speakers and my turntable. How do i incorporate all that with my interface and mpc 1000? Im very lost. It worked kinda but sounded very quiet n was full of record gain.

plug yer turntable into the phone pre. plug the phone pre into the mpc line in. plug the mpc main outs to yer speakers (you might need an amp - depends on the speakers). you'll hear the record player when you are in sampling mode.
