MP1000 & SP-404 hook up

Hi All,

I'm currently making beats on my 1k. However, I'm planning on getting a SP-404SX for its effects.

My question is:
How would I hook up this two machines if I record sample into 1k and making beats on it but applying the effects from the SP. Also record the sequences to Ableton Live. Do I need a mixer to complete the work? Or do I just simply buy a 4ins4outs audio interface, as an example with Komplete Audio 6 below, and it'll do?

You could rock it like that. You could also mess around on Ableton and export the wavs for the 404. Then if you used an assignable out in the 1000 you wouldn’t have to turn on the computer to work on your system.

Aux out -> 404 in
404 out -> sample in 1000
Use them memory card to transfer the wavs.
However the system you have in the pic will never need to be switched for tracking back into the comp.
