It is a dumb question...but i see what u mean in a sense.

No Akai's ram as i'm sure i mentioned has two memory chips that have 64MB in both of them on one the side ram chip, its built differently so that they can try bump man and because they built the mpc1000 different also to acccomadate the bump! ...........bump being teefing money making ways!

I sort of knew the answer anyway....

Good thing I got my mpc with the akai RAM for free on a special offer...
At least my MPC is guaranteed..!!

well, chances are that if you have a problem with your mpc, and you send it to akai, they'll probably tell you that you didn't use akai ram, and that they won't fix it for free...

just upping for the folks that missed it the first time around
and so they dont post any new threads.

its hard to find kingston ram around here, and theres only 1 on ebay


Im thinking maybe getting another company with the same specs?

thanks i just need to know which CF cards worked. there should be a sticky thread of all memory that works for the 1K.
