Yeah, I don't understand that either.. Does the sound trigger a couple of nanoseconds before you actually hit the pad (psycho-kinesis)? Is the sample cut/trimmed according to your vision cause if not and the beginning is cut a little it could possibly sound like the sample is ahead of it's time just slightly.. Please elaborate..

on blind hearing tests with various sequences using perfectly recycle trimmed samples for 1/16th beats at 102 bpm (with varying swing), the sequencer has no delays...its perfect every loop.

What's wrong with being perfect, that's what you want right? If not you can vary the result by tweaking..
