its much much better.

as the famous 'Mpc3000' guy has mentioned in a another thread.

i thought i may start a new one...as ime famous for that.

no seriously this makes it more clear and easier for search purposes.

the Compact Flash readers are cheap (£15 in UK) maybe $15-20 in the US.

but its great...no need to go into that USB mode on the MPC 1000.

just plug the card reader in to the PC or Mac (on Xp & window 2000 & Mac Osx 10.2 above requires no drivers)...

and off you go.

the pc or mac recognises the CF card as a mass storage.

just drag and drop your wavs and put the CF card back into the mpc 1000.

done.

the loading time of single kicks, snares, hi hats, etc, is balzingly quick.

eg.

Hit 'Mode' & then 'Load'...

Choose your sample (thats on the Flash Card)...

Assign to pad...(this id Mili Seconds...infact too quick).

hit Do it...

done.

loading is as fast as computer based loading of samples.

i dont see the point in doing this. the USB is the reader for the card. I'm kinda of confused why'd you want to do this.

so you dont have to go back and forth and go through taking the wire out and putting the wire back in. Just take the card out of the mpc and put it in the usb card reader.

i started using a card reader today. it's a million times faster than using the mpc's usb port. and i even used it to transfer some pictures between 2 macs (laptop and desktop).
