is there anyway to time stretch with the mpc1000?

Nope...Doesn't have that feature

Use a software editing program Ie Soundforge

Chop a sample into dozens of very little pieces. Make a copy of each sample and splice it all back together with the copies next to each other. Loads of work, but would give you something like a time stretch.

Alternatively, if you have a computer, use a basic audio editor that can peform timestretching, or if no PC, get yourself a second sampler.

talked with a rep at Akai today and he said its been talks of timestreching being apart of a future OS update....let's hope so
