Hi longtime user of beat machines (Roland MC-xxx et al) and reason and cubase, I have recently purchased an MPC 1000 and am very impressed w the quality of the machine. Can someone tell me how to assign a chopped up sample to the various pads? Right now as I have it the whole loop plays on pad 1 and I need each hit on a different pad.
Thanks in advance,
Jamez

trim mode is what you already have used when you sliced the sample... now you have to go to program mode - the next logical step if you look at your mpc - and assign the slices to the pads by htting the pad and then turning the data wheel till you hear the slice you want on that pad...
the rest is explained in the manual which can be downloaded free from the akaipro website.
