Hello everyone,

Here is the thing, I recently bought an akai s 3000 xl that i would like to use for drums sequencing all that from my mpc (2k5) BUT when i assign my drum samples to pads on the mpc using midi it automatically pitches the sound on the sampler as if i was using a keyboard with a key sample how can i make all the notes at the same pitch ???

Thanx

I don't know the UI of the 3000 but search for the root note parameter. It should be not far away from the keyrange you can set for each sample/keygroup. If you set thee rootnote to the same as the pad on the 2500 the sample will play at the original pitch (how it was sampled).

In S3kXL:
1. Press "EDIT" to go to program edit.
2. Press F2 = KGRP
3. Press F6 = SMPL
4. In SMP1 select the note value where you assign your sample
5. Select your sample, change the "pitch" value of that sample from "TRACK" to "CONST"

Remember to create a key group for every note in KGRP tab and make them match to notes at SPAN tab.
