Anyone using an ipad to track audio from an MPC (i have a 60). The new Ipads seem incredibly cheap and have some decent apps (cubase etc). Im looking at something mainly to track audio from the MPC and to then take to a proper studio for mix down etc (so DAW useage on it would be minimal from me). The new Retinas are 64 bit too. Does anyone use one for this? What types of interfaces should i be looking at?

I got an iPad Mini recently. It's my toolbox for synths up the wazoo. I haven't bought an interface since I track out on my DAW. But I've thought about it and was looking at the iConnect Audio 4, if I decide to go that route.

Their MIDI interfaces have had good reviews. Maybe Sonic State had done a review that I haven't seen. I'll have to search for it.

As for apps, Cubasis seems good. Auria seems worth it as well. From what I've read, Auria is very stable.

Have a look at what you may find more suitable.

btw any idea if the apps (like cubasis) on the Ipad respond to external midi clock? So pressing all start/stop on the mpc would start/stop the Daw on Ipad?

Cubasis has MIDI Clock and Thru support. So it looks like it's good to go.
Auria has no MIDI sequencer at all. Auria Pro should have it. But I'm not sure when it's gonna be released.
I'm leaning more towards Cubasis. But I'm waiting until it goes on sale again.

Apparently Cubasis (and most other apps) dont support external midi clock at mo.....bit rubbish!
