1000 blue?

1000 blue?

I'm in the process of buying my first MPC and I'm looking on eBay and all I can find with my budget is the mpc 1000 blue but I don't know if the pads are working properly because of the malfunction it had with the pads does anyone have any suggestions for me.? And by the way I've never touched an mpc in my flu I don't know what's good or bad.

Buy a cheap ($200-250) blue and plan on buying the new pad sensor kit for $140+ shipping or cheaper? OR buy a classic 2000 with a decent screen. OR pony up and get a decent 2000xl for a little more. Only choices for "budget" MPCs IMO.

Is there 2000s with the newer disk drive instead of floppys

Nope. The MPC2000 only had the floppy drive unless someone modified with a Zip drive or card reader.
