Recording MIDI Out MPC Studio but using MPC Sounds?

First post...I've read the manual and dug around the internet but haven't got this working yet....

MPC Studio Silver, Mac, Cubase.
I would like to be able to record the PaDS MIDI OUTPUT and sequence in Cubase while using MPC Sounds but haven't figured it out. Is it possible?

I can program inside the MPC Sequencer just fine.
I can program MIDI on ANOTHER controller and play MPC Sounds via MIDI.
I can launch another VSTi and use the MPC as a controller as long as the MPC VSTi isn't running.
I can switch to MIDI mode and record the MIDI output of the MPC but then I don't hear the MPC Sounds.

OK....
I figured out that in MIDI Control mode, the pad mapping doesn't match your currently loaded program. I set it up manually but can I make that the default?

Will do. I tried saving a MIDI Scene and then selected that as an autoload but that didn't work. Will do some homework
