hey everyone, i know this probably has been asked a million times but noones answers seem to solve my problem, im using an mpc1000 with jjos2xl and a yamaha dx7s
im trying to record the synthesziers sound to my mpc through midi, it collects the data when i play it but no noise only notes on the grid, how do i get the sounds from the dx7s onto the mpc1000
thanks in advance

I do this same thing with my triton and 4k.

4k audio out goes to mixer/audio interface.
Tritons audio out goes to mixer/audio interface.
Mixer/audio interface main out goes to speakers.

Midi cables in/out to both machines.

4k is master sequencer just as you are using your mpc in this situation.

My 4k records the midi performance of the trition as I play the keys.

I press play on 4k and it all plays back perfectly fine.

midi in from dx to midi out of mpc, and midi out from dx to midi in of mpc
the only problem now is that when i assign samples to the first 6 pads of the mpc, the will also play when i go to a midi track on the mpc when i kit the lower keys of the synth, kinda annoying trying to avoid thoes, any solutions?
