Hey guys,

I've been messing around with my setup and would like some input/help.

So currently my setup is:
-MPC 1000
-Yamaha MG124CX Mixer
-Yamaha YP 701 Turntable

Right now I have a few cords running through it. This is what it looks like:

-EDIT- Not sure why it won't post the image, but this is the link.

I'm struggling figuring out how to get the turntable to feed through the MPC. When I try to record with the MPC, I don't get a signal. I've tried running some cords from MPC to the mixer but to no avail. I can still get sounds from both the MPC1000 and the turntable to come out of the amp.

first up....most turntables need a phono pre amp. i'm pretty sure your model does. it's old, irhgt? you can't just plug the turntable into the mixer.
your amp might have a phono preamp.
run the turntable out to the phono in on the amp.
run the amp tape/record out to channels one and two on your mixer.
run the group out one and two on mixer to mpc record in left and right.
press the 1-2 button on the channel strip and it will send the signal to the mpc.
hope that helps
