Confused about folders and file locations

Hi All,
brand new user here.
I installed MPC 1.9.6 and I'm totally confused about where all the folders and files get put on my computer.
When I installed I was not sure if it automatically created a directory "akai professional" or I had to create one so I did "akai pro/mpc... now I have both. I noticed it saves projects in my documents folder not in the directory and I have to navigate all the way up to program files and then drill down to the sample files

The little red folders on the software just open random areas of my computer.

Is there a way to :

Assign where the red folders open
can I move all the random files into one directory?
Should I reinstall and let the software build the directory?

any guidance would be helpful.

opps This question is for the MPC touch

The MPC often defaults to the Documents > MPC folder, it's set up automatically and you cannot change this, but you can change where those browser shortcuts point to. Just navigate in the browser to the preferred location, hold down the Touch's SHIFT button and press the shortcut you wish to assign that location to. More tips like this in my book:
