Hello, to anyone listening. I am a singer/songwriter, been touring and played by live for 15 years. I have been looking for a way to spice up my shows since my calendar is stacked this year--and decided to start dabbling in Output's products (REV and Exhale bought so far). I wanted to take sounds from those programs or recorded loop sequences that I could trigger live, and ended up with the MPD218. My questions are:
What are some step by steps on doing this for new users?
Do I need a DAW to record these sounds first or can I just assign certain pads to those sounds by dragging them onto the MPD via Essentials? I'm looking for extreme ease here, in doing this.
If I need a DAW, will any of them (or: garage band) work if I'm just simply playing the sounds with my Keystation 49 to record them?
Thanks in advance!
