sampling from turntable

yo yo, im sampling from a turntable to a 2000xl and it doesnt sound 'warm'. It kinda sounds like its got got an echo in there or something and the quality is just all round poor. I am new in the game and dont expect to be mr super sampler straight away but does anyone have any tips for sampling from a turntable?

yes, you may want to run the turntable through a mixer and have the mixer go into the line in on your mpc so at least you can adjust the treble and bass through the mixer before sampling...

u prob have monitor on on the mpc. turn it off in sample mode.

tho' you do need 2 set up your mixer right.
