most of the records that I own I got because the dude at the store had them on the side for me...get in tight with an owner and he will save you the gems - chances are he will know a lot more about music than you and clue you on some shit you never thought about buying...all I have to do is show up with the cash on a friday and I walk out with whatever is good. Start training dude, walk in and say to him- I need some triumphant horns, I am looking for some open drums, whatever...chances are he will know where to go. After a while I started knowing what to look for and how to shop for instruments, and that is how I buy know.
