ok i got an old table. Maybe 20 years. I was only gonna use it to sample but i would need a new neddle and cartriage. instead of doin this i can buy the stanton str8-80 new. Which do u think would be better/cheaper

you'd probably be better off getting the Stanton cuz it's gonna probably be hard to find parts for a turntable that old. The sound quality will be better with the Stanton cartridge too.

what kind of table is it,

what condition is it in .

i would say to if the cartridge shell is replaceable buy a new cartridge and shell and maybe replace the rca's.

not to found of the new T.T's ive had my tech12's for twenty years and the sound just as great as a new one.
