You can use any switch you want to mod your 4000. Just make sure you know what you are doing so you don’t burn it up or electrocute yourself.

How about that pcb assembly is it easy to take power switch off that board and solder new one back? New power push switch cost 3$ mpc stuff sell same part but used one 22$..

@Dada - I think it would be easier if you just got the direct replacement part instead of bothering to modify stuff and risk ruining your 4000.

There is someone on eBay with direct replacement power switches for the 4000: https://www.ebay.com/itm/282622794222

If I were you I would just grab one and get someone to solder it in for you.

I already know what kind of switch akai use, its sddf-9 tv-8 push power switch. The link is for used switches from dismantled mpcs from 2001-2004, and 20$ + postage for a used part its pistol price af.

You need solder sucker, hot iron and solder/flex + switch, ideally original one.

The power switch is not mounted on assembly PCB - It's separated piece.

PS. If you are close to London then I could change it for you.
