HDM-10, hard drive or CF card failure?

Hello all,

I have the HDM-10 installed in my 2500 (running JJOS 128XL) and the HD stopped working recently.

I assumed this meant the HD has died so did the mid to use a CF card in place of the HD but whenever I have tried to format the CF card in the HD slot I get a formatting error message. I've tried this with a 4GB CF and a 128GB CF card and no joy.

Does this sound like the HDM-10 has failed? Has that happened to anyone else?

Or could it be that the hard drive and both CF cards are dead? Seems less likely as that would be 3 items not working rather than 1 (the HDM-10)

I have no way of testing the hard drive that I can think of.

Don't really want to waste my money buying another HDM-10 only to find out that it was the HD/CF cards.

Any tips or suggestions welcome.

Has anyone ever had an HDM-10 fail on them?

I've tried several CF cards now in the HD slot (following the install guide from this forum) and JJOS128XL starts to format them and then fails midway through the process. The same CF cards word fine in the CF card slot.

Any ideas?

My hard drive suddenly stopped working a while ago & I was wondering if it was the HDM-10?
Now Im using CF cards like a suckah.
Any ideas anyone?
