hello, i m having a strange issue with my mpc2500.

when i press the right cursor to move inside the various menu, the mpc got a strange behaviour: pressing the button both "mode" and "q3 after" leds blinks and the main tempo change alone to crazy values.

i also can't navigate into the whole menus because the right button seems to be locked and the screen cursor move up instead of right..

any ideas?

Desolder the button and test or solder a new one in and test then. Trial and error.

either do what waskmusic said. or bite the bullet and buy a pcb board. my mode button was sketchy. i had to hit it like 20 times to get it to work. if you do happen to buy a pcb board get the adapter to use your same jog wheel the other types are trash in my opinion. Also make sure to hit mode pad 10 and make sure wheel type is set to 1. it's pricey but well worth it!

I definitely agree with Waskmusic and Phonetic about replacing the tact switches on your 2500. Just de-solder and re-solder some ALPS-SKHHAKA010 ones and your 2500 should be back up and functioning normally once again as well as saving you money compared to a new PCB anyway.
