Alright, I've been searching for a clear answer but haven't found one.
I don't know what happened last night, but I was bad move after another. Some how in the middle of my lack of mind, I bent some pins in the CF reader.
I'm annoyed at myself and how prehistoric some of the technology in the thing is.
Anyways, I want to attempt to straighten the pins out, they are completely flush down, I need to open the whole thing.
I've opened it, but can't figure out how to access the socket. There is a metal enclosure around it, how do I remove that top metal part on the socket?
I'm assuming it can be done because MPCstuff sells the socket individually.
If I can't fix it, I should be able to replace the socket on its own right? The whole part is 125$ and the socket 15$
If someone can give me some pointers or guide me to the right location for answered.
Thank you!!!
