Hi people iv just recently got hold of a mpc 2500 with os 1.23 which so far runs really well,I was thinking of getting the 1.24 os wasn't sure if it's worth it or what the differences were, what do you guys think?also iv heard that jjos is the way to go but got told when I brought the mpc to watch out for jjos as it's not designed by akai so can possibly mess the machine up so a little scared to use it .... any help or advice would be great for 2017.

JJOS is written by the guy who created the original OS for Akai, and it cannot do anything to your MPC other than make it better. Even the free version of JJOS is better than Akai 1.23/1.24 as it fixes several bugs that Akai didn't bother fixing themselves. Tens of thousands of people run JJOS, it's 100% safe.
