Can't record midi cc?? Any guru help me out please?

Hi,

Thought this would be simple.

1- record baseline from my nord lead to my mpc
2- over dub and tweak filter
3- playback and be delighted

Of course it couldn't be that easy.

I'm on jjos xl.

I have gone to midi monitor page on mpc and it hears my nords filter so why won't it record??

Is there an mpc / jj setting I don't know about.

I have both mpc books and can't find anything in either.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Got it. For anyone else. You need to set mpc right.

Go mode / pad 9
Midi
Set soft thru as track.

How simple. Ha. Knew it would be one of those things where one setting is off.
