Post your views and questions about the Akai MPC2500

the mpc2000xl had the midi program changes rite in the main screen-so basically you could "see" the motif sounds and change them by just turning the data wheel on the 2000xl. you cooldnt do it on the mpc1000-what you did was record a midi control message on one track, then record your midi notes on another, then stop the sequencer!... go back in edit mode on that first track and change the program(no simultaneuse respone), then at last....hit play, look up at your module or keyboard to respond a day later with a change of sound you picked from 1 to 127 instead of the actual NAME of the sound.

Not picking on him..but he jumper in the thread talking about his MPC 2500 purchase..gave a sorry review..and disappeared.

Nick, do you really even own one? We can work together with the review..Plus, it is lonely here me being the only one with a 2500 :D

Akai should have made the 2500 also in silver just like 1200 decks and expanded the standard 16 mb to 256 mb. Or is that to much to asked for that price.
