Yeah ive seen that.. I just think its interesting, what can be t he reason to NOT upgrade it to usb 2?
Is it because of the OS/drivers ie the software? I cant see it beeing because of the hardware... Could it be from backwards compatibility for the 1000/4000?
I doubt that too... That would leave.. i dont know.. laziness? Or just not thinking its important? I think anyone that tried to backup their 4000 hd would love to have usb2 instead of that old ass 1.1...

As far as the MPC 4000..you can back up your files to CDRs. The same will be true with the 2500..you can also use the flash card drive which supportrs up to 2 gig media.

Yes i do know that, its just, if you had usb2 you could backup the entire hd quite easily.. And the point is to find out if there was a rewrite in os code and hardware building...

I doubt it too. If AKAI was going to put USB 2.0 in this MPC they probably would have said so. There would be no reason to leave out such an important thing in the description.
