i think it has 2 -

also, the x-station can be powered by the usb connection to your laptop (or run on batteries as well), which you cant do with the ozone.

with the ozonic, i'm guessing whether or nor you can power it from your laptop will depend on what type of firewire connection you have. but i'm not sure about that one.

plus the x-station has an onboard synth and a more midi controls etc..

it is little more than i wanted to spend originally.

but having spent less cash on something that didnt do everything i needed, i now regret not researching my purchase a little further and saving up that extra cash.

just dont want you to make that same mistake i did.

Multitracking on the powerbook can be taxing on the computing resources. But if you had say an external firewire HD it helps. An ibook is fine if you are just editing samples. You still have to pay a bit more for a decent program. Peak is a nice audio editor/recorder btw.

Also I'd wait because they are coming out with new powerbooks and powermacs so the other prices may come down.

I was recently told that the macmini performs better than the tibooks.

Check out the middle one.

In any case make sure you wait untill the new stuff comes out in a month or so.
