jacked OS

Can everyone please stop talking about jacking an OS from a different mpc to see if it works on another. the 1k is coming out with a new OS soon enough. by this time, no one has successfully ported one OS to another and i don't know anyone who would try with their new 2.5k. so please stop asking. if you don't like the OS that came with your respective mpc, get rid of it.

i'm getting tired of reading or even seeing threads talking about trying to put an OS from one mpc into a different mpc. if you feel your mpc is lacking something in the OS, write a letter to akai to express your grievance.

but see the difference is i'm not talking about trying to jack an OS, i'm talking about my frustration of others talking about trying to jack an OS.

to my knowledge....NO

apple is just starting to use intel chips for the macs. not installing mac OS's on a PC achitectured system.

You can run OSX on an Intel box such as a Dell right now but it isn't legal. It's another example of OS jacking.

so can you dual boot a dell box that has winxp and osx

Yes, dual boot with System Commander or something else.

But you still won't be able to dual boot your MPC1000 with either the 1000 or the 2500 OS.
